Make Your Voice Heard – Vote!!

  • Posted By Back40 Design

Voters on Tuesday have a wide range of issues to consider: the state of the economy; taxes; regulations and legislative initiatives at the state level and the overall political landscape in Washington. Whatever your reason for voting, there has never been a more important time to make your voice heard.

In Southern Oklahoma, voters will select officials for 9 State Offices, the 4th District Congressional Seat, a State Senator and State Representative. A total of 12 judges at the State level will be on the ballot to consider for retention from the State Supreme Court, Court of Civil Appeals and Court of Criminal Appeals. There are 5 State Questions on the ballot.  In addition, voters in Carter County will consider a 1/8 cent sales tax for apportionment to 16 fire districts and those in District Three will vote for County Commissioner.

By being a part of the political process, we can elect officials who are willing to serve, at both the local, state and national level who will work together to support pro-growth policies that represent the values of our citizens and promote opportunity, job creation and community improvement.  There is too much at stake this election to “sit on the sidelines.”

The Ardmore Chamber of Commerce, the State Chamber of Oklahoma and The U.S. Chamber of Commerce strongly encourage you to learn more about the candidates in each race and the issues at hand. But most importantly, we hope you will cast your ballot.

In order to allow each voter to be prepared when they cast their ballot, the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce has provided a link on the Chamber website www.ardmore.org and the Chamber Facebook page that will allow you to review the ballot and educate yourself before you cast your ballot.  Please take the time prior to Tuesday to review the ballot.

The single most powerful tool each one of us has is our voice and our vote.
