Leadership Ardmore is a program designed to encourage high achievers to take an active role in leading the community. The candidates are trained and given practical information regarding community problems and issues. These individuals create a communication network with more established community leaders and are challenged to increase their own involvement in community affairs.
The program begins in August and continues through May. The candidates consist of 25 men and women who represent a cross-section of the community. Training sessions are conducted by recognized community leaders and involve lessons on subjects such as Leadership Styles, County and City Government, Media Relations and many more important aspects of leadership development. A formal graduation ceremony is held upon completion of the program. Graduates are then eligible to join Leadership Ardmore Alumni to maintain and expand the network of current and future leaders.
