Lunch & Learn Addresses New State Alcohol and Medical Marijuana L

09/02/2018

The implementation of the new state alcohol and medical marijuana laws resulting from the passage of State Questions 792 and 788 is approaching! The new laws and regulations are causing a great deal of confusion, as they force many businesses to become familiar with new regulating agencies, rules and requirements.

In the interest of best preparing businesses and citizens for the implementation, the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the City of Ardmore to present a Lunch & Learn discussing the new regulations on Thursday, September 6th at 11:30 at the Ardmore Convention Center.

Attorneys David Davis and Margaret McMorrow-Love will present on both the new state laws and related municipal regulations. They will be addressing requirements, restrictions, licensing/permit processes and much more.

Margaret McMorrow-Love graduated magna cum laude; Phi Beta Kappa from Trinity Washington University and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. She practiced with the law firm of Fellers, Snider, Blankenship, Bailey, and Tippens, where she was a partner, until January of 1994, when she opened her own law practice in Oklahoma City. Ms. Love engages in civil litigation, including the defense of constitutional claims, civil rights actions, wrongful termination cases, and employment claims.  She represents numerous governmental entities related to a wide variety of matters, including collective bargaining, arbitration proceedings and municipal contracts.

David Davis is a practicing attorney as a sole practitioner in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Oklahoma City University Law School and served as City Attorney for Bethany, Oklahoma for 46 years until June 2018 and currently serves as Town Attorney for Cashion, Oklahoma.
