“There’s nothing to do in Ardmore.” I hear that at least once a week, every week. There was even a time when I, too, believed there was nothing to do in Ardmore. Now, I know that is not true!

This week there are events and activities going on all over town. For music lovers, Two Frogs Grill is hosting Franky Perez Thursday night. Friday night is the 5th Annual MORE Foundation Get Smart Trivia Night that has turned into one of the most fun and anticipated competitions all year. Saturday, the Spring Fling Craft Fair is being held at the Ardmore Convention Center and will feature wares from local artists and vendors. This is just this week!

For those of you who want a good laugh, Mill Street Garage will host Comedy Night on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. The night will feature both local and nationally-known talent in downtown Ardmore.  Two nights later, Thursday, March 8, 2018, The Grateful Bread Sandwich Company will bring another concert to town with a show from Mike Hosty at Mill Street Garage.

Want something a little more on the artsy side? Then you must check out the Goddard Center! A quick glance at their calendar of events for March shows everything from the All Schools Art Exhibit on March 1 to a two-day film festival at the end of the month.

Want to have fun and support a local organization? The Family Shelter of Southern Oklahoma will host their 5th Annual Casino Night on Friday, March 30.  This too has become a much-anticipated event for people of all ages.

If sports and outdoor activities are more your thing, there are plenty of options for you as well. The Ardmore Parks & Recreation Department has a 6-person coed volleyball league starting at the beginning of March. In April, you can take things outside and play in the kickball league. For runners, the 9th Annual Arbuckles to Ardmore Race for Mercy is Sunday, March 25. The following Saturday, March 31 is the 6th Annual Color Me Crazy 5k and 1-mile run. If you simply want to get outside, there are trails and parks all over Ardmore and the surrounding area for you to visit.

These are just some of the events going on in Ardmore throughout March. Grab your friends and help support the businesses and organizations bringing these events to town. Why? Because there is more than a little something going on in Ardmore.
