Partners In Education Hosts FAFSA Workshop

One of the greatest obstacles to obtaining higher education for many students is the cost.  Annually, many qualified students do not take advantage of the many resources available for financial assistance.  A goal of the Partners in Education Program (PIE) is “Every Student Enrolls in a Post-Secondary or Industry Credential Program or Military Service”.  A core component of achieving this goal is to provide information and assistance in locating resources for financial aid.

Federal Student Aid, a part of the U.S. Department of Education, is the largest provider of student financial aid in the nation. They are responsible for programs that provide grants, loans, and work-study funds to students attending college or career school. The application process can be overwhelming for many students, with detailed questions and specific requirements.

To assist, Partners in Education is hosting a free workshop to help students and families complete the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you would like help completing the application, or you just have questions, join PIE on April 24, 2017 at the Ardmore Convention Center from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
