The Leadership Greater Ardmore Board of Directors voted at their annual meeting held June 25, 2012 to hold Class Twenty-One of Leadership Greater Ardmore beginning this fall. The Ardmore Chamber of Commerce established the Leadership Greater Ardmore Program recognizing the need to prepare individuals for leadership opportunities and roles in the community. The Program is designed to select a limited number of applicants for each class that represent a true cross section of our community. Participation in Leadership Greater Ardmore offers the opportunity to learn about various aspects of the community, discuss pertinent issues and explore opportunities. The program continues to receive very high ratings from participants. Lori Linney, Vice Chairman of the Leadership Greater Ardmore Board states, “Interest in the Leadership Greater Ardmore remains very strong. We continue to see the benefits of Leadership Ardmore with participants becoming involved in community activities and taking on leadership roles”
Class Twenty-one will begin with a welcome/media reception in August. Twenty-five participants are accepted each year into the program and individuals interested are encouraged to contact Mita Bates or Annilisa Peevy at the Chamber to obtain additional information or to request an application form. Information and applications can also be found on the Chamber website at www.ardmore.org. Applications are due by July 27, 2012 in order to be considered for this year’s class.
